New car plant for Franklin, Ky!
After Obama is through dismantling two of this country's largest corporations to pay back the labor unions for their support in the last election, here's what we get as a replacement, and the request is for 200 Million dollars of our tax dollars to pay for the construction. Which, of course, they will, most likely, get.
http://www.zapworld.com/ Cool, eh? Maybe one of his supporters will figure out a way to drop a 6.1L Hemi on one of these... Oh, but wait, it probably wouldn't pass the new emissions and mileage requirements. Oh well.... btw, take note of the "Stimulus Bill Tax Credits" chart. Could this be the new "ObamaRam"? ...and the new ObamaVan? The ObamaJeep? And they'll probably be all state funded, of course! |

I love the "NO POLLUTION" statement. Last I looked, the power plants that make the electricity have plenty of pollution.
On the other hand, I will admit that the ZAP DUDE looks like it could fun. |

Who in their right mind would pay ten grand for any of those vehicles when there must be (in any given neighbourhood) hundreds of used equivalent vehicles out there for $10,000 or less? Oh, alright, maybe TK might grab one just to complete his fleet.

They really need to work on the range and top speed of these things. The ZAP DUDE has a 25 mile range and tops out at 25 MPH. The ZAP Van is 30 miles and 25 MPH. Absolutely worthless.

I'd like to see it pull something heavy 25 miles, like my king quad. In 25 miles, the king quad uses less than a gallon of gas, in terrible conditions, maybe a gallon. I'd like to see what the pollution from the battery, and the electricity are, and how they compare. |
