Default Can Fiat Cars Save Chrysler?

"The new models won't materialize for two years—and the U.S. automaker could stall out in the meantime".

LX cars will most likely be discontinued soon. Damn-Liar will not continuing supplying components.
The timing of this is perfect for Fiat. What they want is the manufacturing muscle to build tiny Fiats and was never interested in Chrysler/Dodge cars in the first place.

For those of us that choose to stick with our big dinosaur vehicles, I'm sure the government will figure out some way to outlaw them.
The future will be a bunch of us holding up in our Plymouths with guns.

The big Lancia's (the size of the defunct LHS) are fantastic cars with tons of interior room, but near Lexus prices(similar market). Alfa has two-seater's that scream, and are more fun to drive than about any car every built, but again, at the BMW/Porsche price-point. Fiat was planning on building their sedans to replace the Seberings, but now they found out Cerberus has sold most of the equiptment in most of the Chrysler plants.(Ooops!) Fiat thought it was buying auto plants, but in most cases, they are empty buildings. One of the engine plants where Chrysler was casting engines is totally empty. All the equiptment went "south of the boarder" to Mexico, Brazil and a couple of other places. Got this straight from a guy who worked there 33 years who moved down here as a casting maker (for a oil/gas valve co).
