Chrysler Carlisle 2016
One attraction at the Chrysler Carlisle this year was the ability do a ride-along in a Viper or a Dodge Hellcat Charger or Challenger, with a professional driver on a short closed course. The course was comprised of a short straight with a chicane followed by a hairpin 180 and ending with a longer straight. Total length was around 1/4 mile so I've heard. The drivers were beating on the cars; hard on the gas, hard on the brakes and hanging the tails out on the turns. It went on for quite a while on a very hot July afternoon with very little down time between runs, essentially just enough to change riders and get them bucked in nice and tight. It's impressive that the cars could stand up to this without overheating or brake fade.

Long distance award?
One of the folks I talked to at the show was a twenty-something lady who drove her very nice looking red, four door, \6 Dart to the show all the way from Washington state. This show draws quite a diverse crowd and it was very good to see a young person that truly enjoyed her older car.
