Default 2011 200 Brake Job

While our 200 was in the body shop getting un-bent the service manager, who knows I typically do the easy maintenance myself, offered that the rear brakes would need to be replaced soon. I went to Advanced Auto to pick up new pads. They asked what size brakes I had but had no way to tell me which size was large or small. That is, even if I gave them the rotor diameter, they didn't know if that diameter was the large or small one. Since the car had 18" wheels I bought pads for the larger brakes. Nope. I exchanged pads, no questions asked.

Prior to doing the work I watched a couple Youtube vids about the work I was about to undertake, to make sure I didn't need any special tools. The vid seemed pretty good but about 11 minutes in he started complaining about Chrysler and said he would never buy one. what prompted the negativity? The fact that the rubber brake line captures the upper caliper bolt. Because of this he felt Chrysler engineers were idiots, etc. Granted it's dumb but it's not like all manufacturers don't do dumb things. It had no negative impact on doing the work.
