Shame that, main reason I won't be seeing it.
I can understand the tv show having some nostalgia value to it, but I've got a feeling this remake is gonna crash and burn, just like the Chargers they destroy!!
Jessica Simpson is ok, but couldnt they have found someone who was a little less overpromoted? Saw her show once, felt like gouging my ears out with a fork!!!

Thumbs up yaaaahoooo

I must be in the minority here as I'm looking forward to it. There was some good shots of the charger sideways, Jessica looks great, I'm waiting to hear the ca caw, ca caw, I always hear from Seann William Scott, and omg, they got Willie Nelson to play Jessie. I will be first in line at the theater. Maybe you guys ought to give it a chance and at least try to have an open mind about it. You might enjoy it.

Have you seen Jessica Alba lately, totally smoking in Sin City, she would have made an incredible Daisy. Yum.

Can't argue with that! Also, Carla Gugino was gorgeous as well, couldnt believe she was the one who played the Mom on Spy Kids!!!
Thought that babe looked familiar....

I thought the show sucked to. Just too dumb. (Which doesn't mean I don't watch other dumb shows.) And I will be forever pissed about the fact they destroyed something like 500 Chargers in the process. I wonder how many got trashed making this movie? There's plenty of shots of airborne Chargers, and I am sure they all ended up in a crumpled heap. That's great.

Yes, Simpson is wickedly hot, but I think if they were going to do a remake they should have used a brunette...and they should have used an actor to play Bo Duke (not Johnny freakin' Knoxville).

Moparites should boycott this movie. If it's a success, they'll make a sequel and that'll be the death of even more Chargers.

Actually it was around 270 something Chargers used in the original show, and if you really think about it, you would realize that back when they made that show, Chargers werent that old, and definately did not have the collector value that they do now. It would be like the TV shows and movies now destroying a bunch of 98 V6 Camaros, not much value to those now, but 30 or 40 years down the road there will be! Its not like they used R/Ts, they were 318 cars and lower end Chargers. they used '68, '69 and '70 Chargers which were all modified to look like '69s, and most of them were held together with duct tape and bailing wire. The new cars are probably put together using cars that are way beyond repair and a bunch of aftermarket parts just to get them to look like the old general lee, then they probably used one or two show cars for close ups. They probably arent destroying any cars that are worth anything, so who cares, if you dont like it dont go see it. I for one will be in line to see it.

What he said!!!
Even if the Charger they destroy was a total rag, it's still going to be parts gone that could have saved another one.
As for the comparison to a 98 Camaro, good idea, I'd happily shove a 68 Camaro into a crusher too, even now, cept I dont care to pay the going rate for the privledge. But let's just say, back in the 80s, I prevented a few blowtie clone rods from hittin the road again, just like a vampire, if you wanna kill a Camaro, you gotta do it right and be certain about it!! heh heh heh.

Sorry, but this remake does nothing for me. There is nothing like the original, I guess.
