Default New STD Bore 360 Magnum Block!!!

Anyone interested in a NEW 4.00" 360 block?

It took quite some doing but I found a brand new 97 360 MPI magnum block straight from Mopar Performance that has been finish honed, pressure checked, had cam bearings installed, clearanced for a 4" crank, and fully blueprinted oil system!

Oil passages have been enlarged to 1/2" and main bearing oil passages chamfered and standardized. Crossover tube has also been installed in the galley.

I have had the block for about two years. It has been fully oiled at least every month and shows 0 rust.

I was looking for for a standard bore block because when running big boost a .030" bore gives quite a bit of bore deflection causing crappy ring seal. Even though a lot of people run larger overbores without issues, mopar does not recomend above .020". This was before the 340 resto blocks and 360 race blocks came out. I got my hands on 2 360 siamese bore race blocks and now have the Magnum MPI block just sitting around.

I am looking for $600 and the buyer to handle all shipping costs. I am located in Austin, Tx. I will post pics if there is interest.

Still got it. If there is no interest in a week or so, it will head out to the shed.

Hi! Do you still have the block? Ours is carcked form one head bolt hole to the water jacket, and would need a new std bore block, but still a alittle uncertain wether it would be better going with an R3 block.

Is this the same block that is used in the 402 Magnum stroker crate motor sold through Mopar Performance?

What is the lowest you will take for this block?

Any idea on how much freight would be? I live in Michigan.

Do you accept pay pal?

Yes it is the same block w/ an identical bore. The lowest I will take is $600 because the block is final machined, stroker clearanced, honed, deburred, pressure tested, and the oil system is blueprinted. A junkyard block w/ identical machine work would cost you well over $1000 and leave you with no future overbore capability. I am not sure on the freight. I have a buddy that owns a fabrication shop that could probably get discount freight shipping. I would have to ask.

I'll pay $600 for the block if you pick up the freight.
