Default Can you house a Hurst V-Matic 3 shifter in a 71 E body center floor console?

Hello all,

I am new to the forum but figured this would be a great spot for me to learn about the car I purchased at the end of last summer. I recently purchased a 71 challenger r/t and had a hurst v-matic 3 shifter already installed on it. Unfortunately, the floor console was removed and the seller no longer had it on hand. My question:

I was wondering if it is possible to house one of those shifters in the e body floor consoles?
