Post from KB piston sheet

According to the sheets supplied with my KB pistons for a normally aspirated gas engine: Ring End Gap Factor is .0065
Cylinder bore X .0065
4.00 X .0065 = .026"
4.030 X .0065 = .026" Note the second ring gaps do not need to extra clearance. same as first ring .026
I installed chrome rings in my engine and decided to use the ring manufacturers specs. .018" to .020" that was my choice and I haven't had problems with them yet. (two years) Jimm II
