Default 67 cuda 4spd swap from auto.

67 notchback. obtained the a-833 trans complete with rods and shifter. have z-bar, and ball stud for frame rail.
Question is where does the ball stud go on my car, and is there welding required. I think I need a bracket mount for the z-bar-is this correct?Do I need any other parts, I'm new at this.
Any mopar mag back issues doing this swap?

I'd be interested in knowing. I have a '67 'cuda fastback, /6, T/F that I'd like to do this to with a 440 up front. I want it to look as close to factory as I can.

I found some of the info in my chassis manual under trans section, but I am still looking for someone who has done the swap as the manual only tells you so much for the a-body 4 spd swap.

Ok, I'll stick my nose in...
In theory, there is nothing to weld in...I have been looking at all the parts for this swap too (stealing 4 spd set-up from wifes 71 duster for my 69 bcuda). There is a small plate that transfers over, but it is a bolt in piece (the corresponding holes already exist in my bcuda). Maybe were talking about a different piece, but I can take a picture of it if needed.

Ok this is the only bracket I am aware of bolted to the fenderwell. This is on the outside (in wheelwell), the nut on the bracket is the back of the stud that the z-bar slides onto. The 2 spots on the lower half of the bracket are the bolt holes, the P.O. welded it inside those holes.
also, inside the engine compartment it only has the stud sticking through... hope this makes some kind of help.

http://members.shaw.ca/prittich/hydraulic_clutch.html

dont' know if you would be interested in going to a hydraulic throw out bearing.. buy if you are, there's the link for ya.

Saves alot on locating linkage, and parts.. yes, you still need all the shifter stuff, but you can kiss the z-bar good bye, not to mention a much better shifter feel.
