I think I cut about 0.2+ second off my 60' times (from my best with the radials), but the best part is the ET Street tires were much more consistent. With the radials I had to drive very carefully to get a good start, and pedal the throttle to keep from spinning the tires. With The ET streets, I just go upto the lights, adjust my staging RPM, and floor it. The car usually runs very consistent now, usually only varies a few thou of a second

they are really pure "slicks" with a line carved in them. the street part is a joke. they should definately help. I run them and they are sticky as hell

Ablaze, who has the ridiculously fast Duster, is a good one to talk to.
If I remember correctly he dropped somewhere around a full second worth on his Road Runner when going from a street tire to an ET street. I will be running Pro Trac S515 tires on the street, does anybody have any knowledge of these things at all? |

when I say the street part is a joke, I meant that when you look at them, they are no different than slicks, except for that "dot" tread line. I love that they make no attempt to disguise it as a street tire, the more hardcore, the better as far as I'm concerned. Its funny when you put one side by side with say, a Hoosier quiktime. The Hoosiers actually have a tread pattern. I did not mean that they were "unstreetable" in any way except for the rain, as you touched on. I have not been pulled over yet with them, but am curious if the cops will think they are "street."
I would like to add that the Hoosier quiktimes are pretty good too. I ran them before I got my et streets and they hooked pretty good, ran my fastest quarters ever with my set that I got for free because they were half wasted. |

what psi were you running in the 275's when racing.

The sidewall of the ET Streets is mainly pretty stiff compared to M&H's or Hoosier Quick times. They also weigh a lot more. The quick times have a more street oriented thread and they also bite pretty well, but are more flexy sideways in the street and do not have as good traction either. I have used about 10 PSI at the strip and 15-18 in the stret.

MR.B, i've tried air pressure from 20-30 lbs.
my quickest time was with 30 lbs. of air in the tires |

buy a street slick. i think you should see 2 tenths off your 60 ft times which means you will probably run in the 12.3's. need to hook up. i run the et's.

ohioDemon, I don't want to burst your balloon, but those tires alone are not going to take you from 12.7's to 12.2's. You will clearly see an improvement but I would guess more like 451Mopar said. I currently run the ET Streets (at the track), but I won't buy another set after these wear out. After using my son's Hoosier QT's, I will go with those.
