I've heard.....
Somebody say before that the "A" body drum brake spindles are to be used to do the Viper brake conversion. I'm wondering:
1-If this works, what all parts are required? 2- How much better braking is this for a projected 735 h.p. Duster? I'm asking as I just did the disc conversion on my Scamp and have the complete drum assemblies laying around. Just wanted to know if any of this is worth saving before I clean my garage. Only have about three truck loads to pitch..... |

I'm not surwe about this, but, aren't Viper brakes really huge?
The more surface area for the pads to grab on to the better the brakeing effort should be. Same with rear drums. If the swap is do-able, hold on to it. |

ar engineering
THe swap is done with a kit from www.arengineering.com
I think they fo for 175, or 199 usd? aboout that. That,s the adapters necessary to do the job. You still use the 11.75" rotor, and you have to provide your own viper calipers.(used new, whatever). If you got to the arengineerign site, there is complete info. Andyf (from this board) is the guy there. He is very helpfull id you email him. |

I've heard the Viper brakes are actually too big for the Viper meaning, they could use smaller components and still have the Viper handle well. I guess they must be pretty amazing then.
