Default MP Brakes (Master Power Brakes)

Anybody running these particular aftermarket brakes? I like thier kit, allthough expensive it includes the power booster, new spindles and 11 inch rotors plus they have 4.5 x 5 bolt pattern hubs. The guy at the auto restoration/performance shop here has been persuading me to go with Baer, you guys have said Willwood was pretty good. What about these guys ?

I have them on my Cobra replica and they work great. I have Wilwood MCs though so I can't comment on anything but what the wheels are attached too. They replaced the originals that I literally fried coming down a winding mountain road. Have made the trip several times with the new brakes and not even a bit of fade.

Use Baer if your made of money. I used a SSBC kit on my car and have no complaits at all.SSBC kit uses the factory spindles (disc or drum) and offers your choice of 5x4 or 5x4.5 bolt patterns.

These kits are great too. Most of it's made by Wilwood if that tells ya anything. IF you don't use this one, jest get the Wilwood kit. Best parts for the money spent and always in stock on there shelves at a good price.

The master power brake conversion is the same as the stock parts conversion.(Likre the one in mopar action. Uses 73-76 A body spindles and parts to do the conversion) They are simply reproducing the A body 4.5" disc brake spindles and parts.

I checked it out a couple of years ago, because sources of good used spindles for the conversion are drying up. They will sell the spindles seperately, and the stock parts will fit on.

That's what they told me any way.

I'm not knocking the kit, I'm just saying it's nothing exotic.
If you can find the used spindles to do the swap, and get the calipers, master, pads, hoses etc from a local supplier it will cheaper.
