What if Ma Mopar?
What if they decided to make exact replicas of 60's and 70's mopars? Maby a few modern upgrades but same body styles and everything same as it was in the 60's and 70's

Gotta admit, the new Challenger is pretty close. All they need to do is make a 70 Barracuda version and they'd be in like Flynn!
They could even call it a Chrysler 'Cuda, I wouldn't mind. |

might as well, no thanks to prices on Barret Jackson auctions cranking the price up on stuff, say you wanna just fix up your nice old car, but it's not a hemi or 6 pak, they have to pay the same inflated prices for the parts, now that they know people are gonna pay the big dollar for the high dollar stuff... buy a replica, or fix up an old one, your way

I don't like the idea of a replica. Kind of takes away from what made those cars special in the first place.
Kinda like what they are doing with that camaro they are making the body for now. What is it a 68? If I poured my heart, soul, time and money into the restoration of a 68 Barracuda and brought it back from the dead, I DON't want to see 5 replicas sitting next to mine at cruise night or the carshow that somebody bought brand new. Doing the retro thing though is a great idea, I am all for it. |

THey have already made one with that name. Not sure if they will build it or not. I'll have to find the pic and see if I can post it for you.
Could not capture the pics so here's you a link. The link in one article does not work anymore and someone said that the pic may be a persons drawing of the car. Who knows. I wished the link on that site still worked. http://southeastmusclecars.com/New-C...go-t-4741.html |

It does seem like a natural addition to the line, they may be waiting to see how well the Challenger sells before committing themselves.
I know if I have a choice, I'd probably go for the 'Cuda before the Challenger, but I do like both real well, decisions decisions! I admit that is kind of a silly thing to say since I haven't seen the Cuda version yet, but if they update it as tastefully as they did the Challenger, I'm sure it'll be fine. |

If they lightened the car up from the heavy weight of the Challenger, and shorter wheelbase (the original E body Cuda was shorter than the Challenger) I would take a serious look at it, they need a lighter weight rear wheel drive, something that can autocross, as well as drag race. But the new Challenger does look awesome

That looks just right! Pickin a color might be hard, but I'd probably go with my old standard of white paint anyway.

I would have to say NO. They keep making them 4 door.

Federal safety regs make it impossible to duplicate any early muscle car but the new Mustang and the soon-to-be Challenger are close enough for me.
My semi-long range plan is to sell my Viper and get a new Challenger if the prices of both are close enough to pull it off. |

Too much emphasis is put on the Challenger. If theyre going to do this vintage remake thing, they should do it with like 8 cars at a time. Then everyone would be driving around in the same mustang.

I gotta go with "Yes"... The retro look on the Mustang and the upcoming Challenger is pretty awesome. Would've loved if Dodge would've done the same with a late 60's Charger.

If they're built buy a companny off the the showroom floor sale, it's a NEW car. I'd buy one just to drive daily. Have old looks with new convininces and not as much of a care of damage. (Not as much as a 40 year old car at least.)

I wouldn't buy one. I'm already sick of Chrysler trying to re-hash the past with names. The Challenger wasn't too bad, but for me that was enough. Let's move on already. Develope modern day muscle and call it something new.
