Depends on what model/kind of Mopar it is. For the hot rod it has to be a stick because that's what I grew up with them having. For the cruiser it has to be an automatic because who wants to shift all the time while cruising. For the cruising hot rod either will do.

Much more fun to "play" with a car with a clutch. Much less annoying to commute in rush hour stop and go traffic with an automatic. My Nitro has a 6 speed, the road runner a 4 speed and the Ramcharger is an automatic. When the snow is bad The nitro (2wd) and the Ramcharger both drive thru the snow well but the Nitro with its six speed can be a pain gaetting out of the driveway sometimes. TheRamcharger (4wd) just goes.

An auto in stop start traffic does help if you are that way inclinded but for anything else a stick/manual even on a cruise once it is in top gear leave it there unless you slow right down.
I grew up with sticks and it just seems normal even in peak traffic.

Standard on cars. Auto on trucks. How often are you sitting in traffic is my concern for the cars. And the way I drive, I've blown an auto. I'd hate to blow one in an autox. In trucks, I just like an auto because its one less thing to worry about when you're towing, plowing, hauling, etc. Besides, the New Rams don't have a manual option (at least on the 4x4s).

Too lazy to shift when it'll do it by it's self.

Default Today's automatics

Are far more intelligent than their drivers. The right gear all the time and all you have to do is change their fluid. No clutch adjustments, no missed shifts, no traffic jam thigh cramps, and total acceptance by the drag racing crowd.

Prefer auto. I live in a state with too much traffic.

I would and have always preferred a stick, but in the case of "big clutches" that got changed for me. I'm 62, and have some health and arthritis problems, and can no longer "row around" a 4 speed. So my little Dart-to-be has and will have a TF

Depends, if it's a mild street strip car the 4spd. If it's a high HP beast auto. Only because missing a shift can get expensive.

Auto for the strip and stick for the street. The stick is more fun to drive, but the auto is more consistent.

I am good with whatever. As long as it can handle the power you put in front of it and transfer it to the ground. When I win the lottery I will have both. Lol.
