I owned my 1932 Ford Vicky for 33 years. I bought it in 1972, and sold it in 2005.
I've had my 1976 Dodge van for 10 years and replaced it with my 1986 Dodge van, which I sold in 2003 at 18 years old.

I presently have a 1994 Ford Club agon that I bought new, and in October it will be 13 years old.

There was also a 72 Dart that I owned for 20 years, and 69 GTX that I bought in 69 and sold in 1986, at 19 yeas old.

First 10 yrs. I had my license I must have owned 25 cars none of which survived my right foot over 2 yrs. (some as little as 3 months) but then again most had over 100,000 miles on them before I got them. But if you count the 72 Grand prix that I drove for about 1-1/2 yr. and blew up and then it sat in my grandma's chicken lot for 9 yrs. that would be over 10 yrs. It was titled in my name so I guess that counts. Then in dec. 92 I bought a 93 Dakota. Ole blue we called it. Drove it most every day for over 12 yrs. Loved every minute of it. As my sig reads. "Man I miss ole blue". That truck seemed indestructible. Even a buddy of mine that's a die hard chevy lover liked it.

Default MY 68 SATTELITE & other family Jewels

I have had my 68 Sattelite for 16 years. It was my second car. I have had it in storage for about 11 years now waitng for Uncle Sam to let me be at one place for more that 2-3 years at a time! I am the second owner of it & it has about 80,000 miles on it. I will retro mod it hopefully within the next couple of years. My dad has had a 70 Road runner for about 14 years which he bought from my Grandfather when my Grandmaw died. It is a sweet car, 383 with dealer installed air, 3.55's and the spare has never touched the ground (Can you say.. Cherry!?!?). I took several vacations with my Grandparents when I was younger. About 17-18 years agao, my dad bought a 64 300 with the 4 barrel 413 from a old local guy who bought it new. It only ahd 63,000 mi on it with leather, slap stick auto & vaccuum guage, original spare and the reverb radio conrol feature! It is a land barge but it will move good for a biggun!

'70 Duster, slant six with automatic, Thirteen years and 166,000 miles and a daily driver the whole time. I gave it to a teenager and for all I know it's still going.

Default 72 Duster

72 Duster bought it in 1985, and she is parked in the garage right now. Still needs a little body work, but she makes the trip to work a couple of times a month.

I have a 1969 Superbee that I got in 1970,
What that must be about 36 years. I sold it back in 1980 and the guy took it all apart and was going to go though it and ended up leaving it in his garage for 14 years like that. then one doy gave it back to me...so I put it back together and it's as good as new...LOVE IT... (with 39,000 miles on it. "NOW")

I've got a 95 Cavalier (Yeah I know..) that I use as my daily driver, we got it used for my sister in 98 or 99 I don't remember. I took it from her this summer.

It now has 309,000 KM on it.. It's a rough ride, all the suspension is shot, but it still starts and runs ok.. With exeption with the tranny wanting to jerk in first 3 gears until it warms up.

It is a 4 cyl 5 speed.

Posts like this make me jealous, I've had some vehicles that had quite a few miles on them then they end up getting hit in traffic, or while parked and a few I had to sell for economical or personal reasons that had nothing to do with the vehicle. Sounds like your Dakota is a keeper!

I've hit at least 7 deer w/ it and put a new front on it every time. 4 windsheilds and countless brake jobs.

I've snuffed a deer or two with my vehicles, but I've never had a Mopar that became undriveable because of rust, though a few were pretty nasty looking due to former owner's neglect and abuse.
Gotta watch those A-bodies though, you get one where they allowed a bunch of crud to accumulate around either the upper A-body mounts or the T-bar mounts and you could have a problem.
Of course we're talking about 30 year old cars now, or older.

IN Illinois they go overboard on salt, both Chevy Beauvilles, 2 outta 5 Jeeps (two got wrecked before the rust really got started and mine's still too new), and both turbo cars are/were pretty well rotted after a while.

I've got a 94 Dodge Dakota Sport 3.9L 2WD that I have had since it was brand new. It was the first new vehicle I have ever bought. It doesn't have that many miles on it for it's age, just 130K but it's age is starting to show in other areas. Electrical gremlins usually caused by a shorted out harness or bad ground, the radiator let go at 100k and the trans burned up about 10k later. The computer fried itself at 118k and had to replaced the water pump at 125k.

Even with these problems I still love the truck and with the exception of the computer getting fried ( happened at home ) the truck has never ( knocking on wood ) left me on the side of the road. Drove 20 miles home when the radiator let go, drove 150 miles home over the mountains when the trans went, and went a week on the bad water pump before I was able to replace it.

I use it primarily as my beater now with it's only trips being to and from work or quick trips to the store. I plan to keep it till the wheels fall off and then buy some more wheels!

Kris

Longest is my Challenger, Lucy - 4 years, 1 month. I'm only young in terms of years driving and owning cars. Had my license coming up to 10 years, went for it the second I was legal (15). Owned 9 or 10 cars and have finally got 2 keepers and one being built to keep as well.
