HX35 or CT26 on a slant?
Check my two choices for a slant 6 blow through.
Holset WH1C (HX35 with V bands) Toyota CT26 3.0 Supra turbo Holset is bigger with a 26 psi wastegate, CT26 is smaller but has a 9 psi wastegate, closer to what I want to run ( Im assuming that I can swap wastegates with a little engineering) but I want a fast spooling turbo, not a soft dog until 4000 RPM. https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_A...0/DSC00010.JPG https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/_A...0/DSC00022.JPG |

What is the lowest you can run boost wise with the holset?

Here is a map, but its in a funky flow measurement. Ill save the HX35 for my 402. CT26 is probably pretty darn close to what I need, but that HX looks like a monster in there. I just did the oil return line tonight, so its oiled now and the water lines are next. Very slow going. It now sits considerably lower in the bay than the mock up, top of spool is even with radiator

HX35 is a monster, and overkill for your application IMO. How much boost are you planning on running?
Gotta love boost though. Any new progress on your set up? |

I have had a few projects pop up since I started this. Im still needing to to the water lines (although they are optional since the water only prevents coking on shutdown, the oil usually is sufficiant for internal cooling) Its a hobby, there is always something to do on this car. Started to repair the wiring harness for the dual field alternator install, but ended up rebuilding the harness all the way back the bulkhead connector. Most of my wires were very brittle and too short for what I needed with the repositioned ignition, electric fans, etc. Slow going. I plan to run 9 psi. Then I have the 2.76 rear gear install after this. Glad I dont need to drive this to work monday...

Let me know how well that CT26 works. I was thinking about using one but i want to run 10-20 psi instead of 9 and i was afraid of the ct26 being a tad to small to maximize performance.
