I have a Fed-Mog catolog from a few years back that gives very general info.

A 4426 comes off of ethier a 1968 Chrysler or Plymouth, 383 or a 440 H/P engine. And a Dodge 340-383 or 440

A 4682 comes of a 1969 - 1971, 340- 383- 440. In the Plymouth section, it is listed as being on HP engines while in the Dodge section it makes no mention. It is not found in the Chrysler section.

HP engines recieved the 750 as far as I know while the regular engines recieved the 630 cfm carb.

Though it makes me wonder, Carter used these cfm ratings for there AFB's and transfered them over to the AVS carb which should flow more air considering there secondaries do not have the same boosters that the AFB did. It seems like a much large open area. The bores at the bottom are the same size though.
I'm guessing this is why.

If the primary dia. is 1 7/16, this would be the 630. If it is 1 11/16, it's the 750. Secondary sizes are the same for both carbs at 1, 11/16.

To narrow it down a little, 4426 is from a '68 Hi-Po 383 manual shift.

4682 is from a '69 383 Hi-Po with automatic trans, w/o fresh air.
(Fresh air used Holleys)
