Middle Tennessee car builders?

Anyone one here know of a builder / fabricator in the Middle Tennessee - Nashville area. The group I have been working with has dropped the ball one too many times. I am giving them one more time to get it done. However if they dont I need other options.

Thanks for your help.

What do you need done?

And, where is Castalian Springs?

What I need is...

I need to have axles cut. A driveshaft made. Some disk brakes picked out and installed. Brake lines fitted. You know the basic things you would do to mount a empty houseing and chunk under your car.

Castalian Springs is right between Gallatin and Hartsville. If you were to look at a map we are just about three miles east of hwy 231. :)

That seems like pretty basic fabrication---but what do I know---I'm a Roundy Round guy.

Let's see if anyone else jumps in on this one. Where is 23T when we need him?

You could talk to Rod and Custom Machine in Dickson, TN. While you are there, you could pick up a pair of their Hemi heads for a SB.

yeah those heads look awesome :)

I hope someone else knows other places too though. I would as many options as possible.
:-)

Well I guess I have to find another shop.

After have the rear end for two weeks I called once more to check on it and the shop it is in told me that they were tired to fooling with me and to "come get the GD thing". So if any of you know of a shop in the area that can do it please let me know. So that way I can get prices and see some of their work.

I can do the disc brake conversion for you. Randy's can shorten it for you I think. It's in Franklin. There's a great drive shaft shop on 2nd ave, I believe that the right street, in Nashville, downtown. Got an e mail addy ? :D

Well...

I went to my regular mechanic to see if he knew any one... He said hey bring me what you have and I will set it up for you. :-) He used to run a 6sec 1/8th mile Camero. with a 9 inch with 8 3/4 housing ends. So wish me luck! The email addy is c318cuin@hotmail.com just in case you wanna make any suggestions.

The driveshaft place I'm thinking of is Clinard's and they are on 4th Ave. about half way between Broad and Lafayette, around the vicinity of Scott Bolt & Screw on the left going away from downtown. Batts Bros. Machine used to respline axles but the Country Music Hall of Fame is standing where they used to be, don't know if they relocated or closed shop. I'm not familiar with Randy's in Franklin unless you're referring to Randy's Ring and Pinion, which is off of Seaboard Lane, I thought that was their corporate offices, but I'll stop by Monday and check if they have any machining services.

O.k. 4th Ave. I was close. Been a while since I have been through there, but your right 23T it's by the bolt and screw. Yeah, I was talking about Randy's Ring, but did not know it was coporate only. I have only mail ordered from them and thought they had two shops. Kinda funny to have one in Wash. and one here dont you think? :D

Clinards

I have heard of them I think that is probably where my mechanic will go for the drive shaft. Thanks for all the info. Hey I am also thinking of swapping on a set of 11 inch rotors up front if i can ever find a set of caliper adaptors and a set of 15" wheels that I like and will fit.

dwc43 05-09-2004 09:52 PM

Did you get my e mail? I can probably help you out with those rotors and mounts too. :D

Nope try it again.

I adjusted my account so you should be able to email me now. Or try c360cuin@comcast.net
