06 Jeep Grand Cherokee steering to sensitive

Have 06 grand Cherokee steering is real touchy. Is there any adjustment to turn so it's not so sensitive? If u hit a bump on expressway better have 2 hands on wheel or it will jump out of lane withe little wheel movement

Any info on this thanks

I had a similar issue with my Ram. I took it to the dealer to have it checked out. They went through the entire suspension and everything was up to snuff. Turned out one of my front tires was very low on air.

That being said, if your Jeep has a track bar, take a look at that.

Checking the steering parts and track bar is pretty simple. With the vehicle on the ground (weight on the tires) have a helper rock the steering wheel back and forth with the engine off. While they are constantly rocking the steering wheel carefully inspect every steering component pivot point. If there is play you need to replace it.

I also jack up the front end and shake the tires with weight off of them.

Sometimes you find loose parts checking it both ways instead of one.
