62 New Yorker gauges question

hope this is the right spot for this question. If not let me know and I will move it. I have a 62 New Yorker. Very low miles, unmolested, nice car. Easily number 2 condition. The gas gauge doesn't work. The oil pressure, Amp meter, and temperature do. 1st I unhooked the wire at the gas tank and grounded it. This wire is light blue in color. After turning on the ignition switch the gauge did not work. I went to the back of the gauge and checked continuity and that wire is good all the way to the back. There is only 2 other wires on the back of the guage. The white one controls the light and it works. The red one is a jumper from the oil pressure gauge. I have nothing at this wire. Any ideas would be appreciated or any diagnostic methods. Thanks

No answer so far...

Maybe try the 1962 to 1965 Mopar site, which has a google mailing list style forum.
