Richard petty blue color???
 
I was wondering if anybody had any idea were i would find a paint similar to that of richard petty's 60's cars that light blue color or what name it would have
i went to a small auto paint place today and couldnt find anything like it.

The paint code is B3, at least in 1972, any paint store should be able to mix it for you.

It is called petty blue, actually. B3 was the code for that blue in 1972, since they changed a lot of their colors, but kept the call letters and numbers from the old paint codes. B3 is a light metallic blue in the prior years before that color was dropped. When it was dropped, they continued to use the code for petty blue.

There is a 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona that is a 426 car with a four speed in that color, with a red bumblebee stripe and wing with a 4 speed and dana that shows up on the kelsey hayes magnesiums at car shows here in Colorado every now and then. It was a special order color on any car and as far as I know, that was the only Charger daytona that was ordered in it. I think I have pics of it at a car show somewhere. If I can find them, I'll scan them.
