Not exactly war -- just a little battle

Almost like "Shutdown". Had to be around mid 1967 in Brooklyn, NY. Two 64 Plymouth 426s: one grey [his] & one red [mine]... totally stopped on a Major 6 lane parkway - our eastbound 3 lanes totally vacant about 1:00 AM- tachin up, tachin up ready to go! Glanced in my rearview mirror in astonishment to see at least 50 cars backed up across 3 lanes waitin for us to go and not ONE SINGLE HORN honked! Grey's shotgun screamed and we were off. Lost by a fender and rolled off at the exit really pissed!! Suddenly heard the bad miss when I slowed and discovered that the #2 plug wire fell off. What a bummer. Almost even on 7 cylinders! My shotgun wanted to find him for a rerun but he stayed on the parkway. Too bad for me and lucky for him. He'll never know....but that was 43 years ago. Hardly a war story but there's not much on this forum so.....[sorry]
