D150 throttle pressure linkage (kickdown)
 
My '85 D150 with 225 and 904 is missing the throttle pressure linkage from the Holley 1945 carb to the bellcrank. The FSM does not show this part. Does anyone have a photo or document that shows this linkage? I might attempt to make one as I have not been able to find a used part.

I think it has a slot and a low tension spring that allows the throttle to close without binding on the kickdown. The rear of the slot (downward) would rest on the pin on the 1945 throttle when the motor is idling. The opening throttle would begin to push the linkage down on the slightest pressure of the throttle. That is my mental image of the part. A photo would be helpful.

Your mental image and notion of operation is correct.
