2011 Chrysler 200, Can a Car be Jinxed?

At first I loved our new (to us) Chrysler 200. It was loaded with just about everything except a sunroof. Then the gremlins started to surface: it wouldn't take fuel, it kept on shutting off the gas pump. This resulted in two trips to the dealership and an eventual replacement of the gas tank and associated tubing. All performed under warranty even though we bought the car used. Then the cruise control started flaking on us intermittently. They replaced the switch, again, under warranty. Then a belt separated on one of the tires; NBD because we were going to replace them all before winter anyway. Then a few days later a curb jumped in front of my better half and opened a large hole in one of said new tires.

Latest: the driver of a BMW apparently forgot her car was not equipped with the self driving option and pinged off the passenger side rear corner disabling both cars in Baltimore rush hour traffic (no injuries). The list of repairs include: wheel/tire, all suspension control arms for that corner, bumper fascia and other bumper related bits and a couple of sheet metal panels. $4500

Amazingly, all door gaps including the trunk appear unchanged.
