Front U-Joint - Challenger

I believe there are two types of U-Joints for a Challenger, 7260 & 7290. How do I determine which one I need to replace the front one.

Screwed in or pressed in, right? The "screwed-in" should have some sort of socket to take it out.

Cars use the small one unless you have a Dana 60 which uses the larger one. :) :king:

It is very easy to tell these apart. Measure the driveshaft INSIDE the yoke, or if you're looking at the bare u-joint, measure the distance between the keeper grooves, just inside the cups. The 7260 will be 2 1/8", the 7290 will be 2 5/8".

Cars without a Dana 60 did indeed use both of these joints. If you have a Dana 60, which does NOT use either of these u-joints, you will have a 1300 series u-joint.
