89-90 roller cams
Is there a difference in duration and lift in the factory roller cams installed in the 89-90 dodge 318 and 360 engines? What years did dodge tap the lifter valley for the "spider" or the hold down plate for the roller lifters.I noticed on a 318 I pulled from a 1985 dodge truck was tapped almost like chrysler had early plans for the factory roller cam, I looked at a 78 block that I have that is not drilled out so I figured they started somewhere in the mid to early 80's??

The earliest I have see n them, is a 85 block.
I think the 360 cam might be bigger, why? |

the reason I asked is I just pulled a blown 1989 318 with a roller cam and replaced it with another 318 I had in a friends truck.I have a 87 dodge 4wd truck with a 85 year 360 I rebuilt 6 months ago with a step above stock crane cam and had thoughts of putting the roller cam,push-rods ect..from that 318 but can not remember if the lifter valley was tapped out.
