Default fuel filter/rotten fuel line

While changing out the fuel filter along the rail, there are small sections of dry rotted efi fuel line connecting the fuel filter to the metal fuel lines. I have 1/4" fuel line but its too big and gas leaks where they clamp to the steel lines. What size do I need?? 3/16? Or the size i have is bigger than 1/4. All I know is it leaks.

You need to get fuel lines made specifically for efi. Standard fuel lines can only handle the stock 5 psi fuel pressure and efi runs wayyy above 5 psi.

Biggrin Size does matter

Just order those lines by your year/model, and you'll get the right ones.

you mean new steel lines?? Hmm didnt think about that. I wouldnt need the efi fuel line then. Well Im already buying all new brake lines and Im removing the bed and making it a flat bed, might be a good time to do that.

It should have 5/16th fuel line if I am not mistaken. I would not replace the steel lines unless they are rusted up inside.
