Help 96 Ram ABS/Brake light

hey guys. I have a 96 ram 1500 4x4 im trying to sell and I took it for a ride the other day and the abs and brake lights came on during the drive. they have never been on since ive owned the truck. the base/hydraulic brakes work totally fine so im sure its a sensor or something glitching. it is a rear wheel abs only system, so no front speed sensors so play with. I tried to ground pin 13 in the dlc to get codes to flash but it wouldn't do anything. any help to get codes or extremely common fixes would be great as the truck only gives manual abs codes and connot be read off a scan tool.

Could be the rear wheel speed sensor mounted on top of the rear end, easy to replace and not too expensive.

Question speed sensor

I thought about that, but isn't that where the speedometer signal comes from also? the speedometer never glitches or stops working so I kind of ruled that rear diff sensor out.

'98 was the first year that the speedo input comes from the rear axle. '96 still has the speedo sensor on the transmission.
