I've had my 2000R/T Dak. to the dealer 4 times to sort out the shift and conv. lock-up. They don't understand the idea of getting it to shift in it's powerband.I got tired of the run around and adjusted the throttle cable to spread out the shift points. It's better,but,3rd gear and lock-up occur at the same time.Causing a bog, thats similar to shifting a stick-shift car from 2nd gear to 4th.What about installing a time delay box? I welcome any ideas

adjusting the kickdown only affect 1,2,3 shifts. o.d and lockup are controled by the engine controler. you can turn of od but dont try to delay lock up you might burn up the trans the trans only has full cooling capabilties when locked up. call me at 909-204 8175 eric i might be able to explane beter on how the trans works i work for the dealer

thanks mopartec, I know about the obd controller. I tried to get the dealer to
"reprogram" it,they said it couldn't be done because of emissions. I've called MP,Kenne Bell,Hyper-Tec and Jet looking for a controller with a different program, with no luck. The OD shift is also strange, it shifts in,out,in less than a second. And the rev-limiter comes in too early, 4900-5300 rpm.I know the delay box isn't the answer but i'm getting desperate.I thought a delay box set to delay it 1/2 second would be enough, without any adverse effects to the tranny. or I can wait until somebody comes out with a HP controller. |
