Marval Mystery oil is what I use on a regular basis.Put a little in my gas and a half pint in the crank case during oil changes. They claim it is a top cyclinder lubricant that when added to oil will improve viscosity.Iknow a guy who ownes a fleet of dump trucks. He saves money on diesel fuel as a fuel additive. My dad and his buddies all put it in their airplanes, and claim it boost cylinder compression, which for a light aircraft is a big deal.

Question

I have seen bottles of stuff that is supposed to clean out your system before you get emmissions tested - but don't know if it really works . . .

Techron is the best stuff....I too have used it in my 325I and 850I, and use it every 3000 miles (the tank before the oil change).

I had a slight ping in certain situations, but after the first bottle of Techron, I haven't heard a ping since.

I buy it at Chevron stations here in CA.

My favorite fuel additive would have to be the line of Berryman Products: Chemtool, TL-3, etc...They have been around for about 50 years I think, so they know what they're doing. Use it about every 5,000 miles or so.
