While I'm not a lawyer (nor do I play one on TV) I understand that some products are perfectly fine to install on your vehicle and NOT void the warranty. I'm talking performance parts here. Parts that are designed "for racing or off-road use only" do NOT fall in this category.
The absolute best thing to do is ask the dealer you are buying your parts from - specifically ask if they will void your warranty and if they will back it in writing if this is a concern of yours. They technically should not cause the vehicle to fail emission testing. But let me say it again - ASK First !!! If you have problems - you should notify the manufacturer - and if you are unable to resolve them, contact the EPA at 202 233 9040 or call the Federal Trade Commission at 202 326 3128 with specific emission warrantly related problems. Here endth the public service annoucement. ------------------ "Good Luck on your project." Mid Michigan MOPAR Enthusiasts |

that's right RAM MAN.. i know at least in NC, the dealer or inspection station has to by law prove with facts in writing that a modification you did voided the warranty or violates inspection requirements. they tryed to pull that on me when i had to get my intake gasket replaced that my dual exhaust was the cause of the failure. i simply asked them could i see some hard facts proving that. they proceeded to fuss and grumble, while taking the key to fix it under warranty...
