HI IM WES I GOT A 1996 3500 V10 5SPD AND I INSTALLED 1.7 ROLLER ROCKERS AND PERFORMANCE SPRINGS. I GOT GREAT POWER WITH THEM, BUT I CAN'T GET RID OF THE LIFTER NOISE. I AM NOT A FIRST TIMER WITH ENGINES. IT SEAMS LIKE ABOUT 7 OF THE LIFTERS DO NOT STAY PRESSURIZED WHEN I TIGHTEN AND ADJUST THE ROCKERS. I TRIED ABOUT FOUR TIMES AND STILL GET SOME NOISE. HAS ANY ONE INSTALLED THESE ROCKERS AND COULD IT BE THE LIFTERS. DID 1996 V10'S HAVE PROBLEMS WITH LIFTERS?

Welcome to MoparChat!!!!!
Can I assume that you brought each cylinder to TDC while installing the new rockers without starting the engine in between? Will have to wait 'til 1 of the V10 techs come aboard to tell you more......(kpzbee) |

I haven't seen any lifter problems with V10's. I'm not familiar with the rockers you are useing. Do they just tighten down like the stock ones? have you asked the MP tech line yet?
