Can anyone help me I picked up some Fender flares for my 2001 Dodge ram from the dealer
I order these right out of the catalog from dodge.they look nice except they dont fit tight against the body there is gaps the two sided tape dose not hold the fiberglass to the body, the dealer has tryed to put these on twice with the same results,we are now waiting for answer from chrysler, has anyone had this problem if so how can I make these flares fit so they look like part of the body any help would be appreciated,or if there is a another flare that would work better than what I have thank you rcher3 |

I assume your putting these on yourself? If so, heres a few tips. Its very important to clean the body with alcohol to remove any wax, sealer etc. Get the flares warm by laying in the sun(if you can even see it!!) or near a heater. This gets them more flexible. Also have the body warm. I've installed several sets & have no problems with fit. Hope this helps

Bye the way, those are not fiberglass. They are some sort of injected molded flexible plastic, just like a bumper cover on most cars.
