Set up properly it could benefit from it.

I believe Street Legal Performance (Chevy term) sells a 1000 CFM unit for the Chevy 5.7L LS1 motors.

Question

Somebody help me out here. I've looked at that Hughes site 4 times in the last 20 minutes and can't see any mention of the Stage III TB. What am I missing?

Last I spoke with Dave he was in the midst of developing the stage III, so it's pretty new. You're gonna have to have quite a host of other mods to take advantage of that much airflow.

With the speed denisty sytems, opening the intake too much will hurt performance. More air, but at a slower velocity... Flometrics has done extensive testing on relativly mild motors and found the best performance from a "stage 1" TB.

Bigger is not always better, but if you make your motor happy with bigger, then everything is better

So THAT'S what I was missing? I was looking for a pic of the thing. With no more than I've done to mine, I wouldn't have need for that much air.
