Angry Code 21, o2plug problem!! Help!!

Well today on my way home from school, I didnt notice a branch (BIG) in the road. I ran over it with no problem. When I got home I checked under my truck. DAMAGE CITY!! The wires for my second o2sensor, the one away from the cat were choped! So with electrical experience, I managed to tap the wires together and pluged it back in. While tearing up the second sensor, I look at the first one. The plug wasnt out of the socket all the way, but it was bent almost like a U. I had problems plugging it back in. I looked at the plug with the 4-prongs sticking out and one of the prongs broke off. I managed to straighten the others out. Now along with a code for (cat. converter efficiency failure, theres also a code 21for "Upstreat O2 sensor response slower than minimum required switching frequency or value does not go above .65volts(sensor slow to respond) So I guess its that missing prong. Where can I find the replacement plug with the 4-prongs sticking out? Or should I just tap straight into the sensor on the cat. I am hoping to get another plug for a o2simulator in the future. Thanks!!!

Angry

That stinks! You need to replace both O2 sensors to make it right. You CANNOT repair the wires from the plug to the sensor. It will NOT work properly. Trust me on this. You can get a repair connector from a dealer. In my opinion, an O2 simulator is a wast of money, & you will have more problems with your truck & with the way it runs.

Default fix it right

Yes I will tell you the same thing as I had this happen to my 88 while making one of my many crashing trips through a farm field at home. Fix it right.
