welp my worst fears came true today.....the torque converter came apart and thrashed the tranny...shes in the shop now getting a tranny overhaul...is looking like she will be ready come thursday...thanks god for an extended warranty..is only going to cost me 100 plus car rental..so not to bad...

oh yeah...for a rental...i ended up with a '01 F(lipped) O(ver) R(ussian) D(unebuggy) Explorer Sport 4x4 heheh..time to treat it like a true rental.....

dang, how many miles do ya have? thats pretty serious for a 1999. At first i thought you meant Eleanor as in "Gone in 60 seconds" nice car.

she got just a touch over 47k on her... i drive the hell outta that truck heheh...

whats funny...well to me..is when i bought her...i got home..looked at her for a few mins and the name Eleanor popped in my head..dunno why ...then i saw gone in 60 seconds in the theaters and Eleanor in that movie...very nice

Make sure the garage doing your tranny flushes and then back flushes your tranny cooler. (If you have one) A person on the Dak site just replaced their rebuilt tranny because that was not done.

nod nod will do..i dont have a tranny cooler on it...but one will be installed with this rebuild..the taanny thats in it is the A-500 model i think...from what the mechanic told me thats one of the main trannies that needs a cooler...
