okay...well as some of ya'll may remeber i was having some problems with my warranty compnay and such..

well after driving about 500 miles on what they said was a "condemed" tranny i got to thinking..the tranny shifts and feels just fine..theres just a "moaning" noise when shifted in reverse...

sooo i took it to a family owned mechanic shop that i have dealt with many times in the past...and they go to see if there is a TSB on what im describing...and sure enuff there was...

# 21-08-99

basically its a valve that has to be replaced..gunna cost me 350 for parts and labor...

i called DC to talk with them..see if they would help me out..and they were real cool about it, but since i am running 285/75/r16 tires and its not a recall item they couldnt do anything about the cost..

so shes at a dealership..actaully its a chrysler/plymouth dealer...not a dodge dealership...and i must say..this has been the best service i have even gotten from a dealership..although they do not sell ram trucks they had no problem working on mine and should have it ready by mid day friday...

if any of ya'll in austin are looking for a very very freindly dealership go to maxwell south

Red face YOU DIDN'T KNOW?

Yikes. That has been out a while. Mine did it brand new. I got the TSB and its not too big a deal. I talked with kpzbee about it (a tech) and he said it is only a noise most times and that it will still do it but may not be audible to us when it is replaced. I'm thinking of getting mine done under warranty. I bet that's a relief huh?
