Default Ram 2002 commercials

The two Ram 2002 commercials on TV have got to be the dumbest most asinine absolutely worst I have ever seen for ANY vehicle since I started watching TV in 1950.

They are supposed to make me want to buy a Dodge pickup ????
I still can't figure out what the hell they are about.

I can't believe Dodge management approved that slop

Thumbs up I Agree, But...

I went out and got a cut out copy of Aerosmith's Just Push Play CD and was disappointed that the title song wasn't as good as the arrangement of it in the Dodge commercials!

If the new dodge commericials aren't good then i dont know what is. They did well integrating the mayor of truckville into the commercials. What is stupid is when you get a truck out there and throw all these huge bolders around and do stuff the truck is OBVIOUSLY not capable of doing...like chevy's like a rock adds. The old dodge commericialst were pretty lame just roll up on a plain color backdrop and show you what the vehicle looks like...what is that? That doesn't make me want to buy it.

I think they are trying to sell the Dodge name because it certainly can't be a pitch for the Ram,like the old "Dodge Different" commercials , those commercials showed the truck.

Default There are worse ...

I don't think the commercial with the Aerosmith song in it is bad ... it introduced the partnership with Dodge and Aerosmith pretty well and introduced the truck. Sure its not the greatest but I have seen worse. A bad commercial is the one with the Stratus and the cop. Now that was bad. I think the commercial with the 2002 Ram tearing up the field is cool. Can't go wrong with a little mud flingin.

the commercials that really suck are the chebbies. what hell is like a rock. of all the songs to pick they had to pick that one and stick with it for how many years now. and the other anoyying thing is how big they make the truck in the commercials. if they wanted to have a big truck they should have built them that way. a little false adverstizing if ya ask me. i looked at a 2500 h.d. at the gmc dealer. it was a 4x4 and it was as tall as a 1500 series 2x4 ram. what a piece of crap truck those g.m. people are putting out. they only have one good thing. "allison trans" thats it. there looks appsolutely suck. i am done venting i just saw another chubby com. so it made me vent a little.

Hey hey what about this one "BUILT FORD TOUGH" man is that an understatement.hahaha Anyways everytime i see a new Ram "Just Push Play" pops into my head. My personal opion i think that song sucks. Also if i had the money i would have bought a 2500HD 4x4 with the 8.1 big block in it, now that would be awesome but Chevy just wants too much money for their trucks so i got the R/T.

Well I was just thinking last night about starting a thread about the lame Dodge commercials. I guess great minds do think alike. I like the use of Aerosmith in their commercials. I think this will make a great partnership. I've only seen the ones in the city. No mudflinging ones for me. I guess we are just to small of a market.

From my expericances in marketing classes, anytime you introduce a NEW product, you do what you can to show it alot in the advertizing. Do not make everything around it "busy". It makes it tough for the consumer to see and form an oppinion on the product. You might only get a few people that want to go out and look at product by doing this tecnique. Just think of new bands and their videos. You see the band for about 95% of the time.

If you watch the commercial, when do you really see the truck? You just see bits and pieces flying by. I think they should have done a commercial introing the truck like they did at the auto show. Have people sitting around eating in a resturant and have it come busting through then it just parked there and the VP's got out to intro it. That makes a splashing intro and also allows the consumer to see it. When I seen the intro at the auto show on tv, all I could say was WOW!!! THAT WAS AWESOME!!!!
