Default tranny acting funny when I go over puddles of water

...no joke, it's happened twice within two weeks. First time I thought I was just amaging it but it happened again today and it was for real. I'd go over a large pool of water, the kind that splash the whole truck (been getting some rain) and when I clear the puddle, the engine revs but the rpms do not go up nor does the truck speed up. It just revs for bout a second or two. First time it happened I was doing about 20 miles, today I was going about 35-40. OD and cruise were off. Checked fluid level once I got home and it was good. Fluid and filter have been changed roughly about 700 miles (used QS ATF+3). No problems with the tranny other than this. Is this possible? has it happened to anyone else? Is something getting wet that should not be like a sensor?

thanks for the replys
