Default Which Flowmaster?

Which Flowmaster would sound better on a '98 Ram V-6. Don't want it loud just a mellow sound.

I have never heard flowmasters on a V6 before, but I would guess 50 series would be good if you took the exhaust all the way to the back! But I heard people wanting the samething you want and then buy 50 series and find it to be too quite so its all in the eye of the beer holder...I mean its your opinoin that matters!

if your looking for that deep "flowmaster" tone... you wont get it out of a v-6. not enaough cylinders...

but a 50 shouldnt be too bad. they have a 30, 40 50, and a 70, and then you have the delta flow stuff too... so all i can say is go to the flowmaster website and see what the discriptions are for each and pick it accordingly..

good luck

A friend of mine has flowmasters on his 4.0L ranger. It makes a low mellow tone. But it's definetly not a v8, plus it has the annoying flowmaster drone.

Arrow 50 SERIES ALL THE WAY

Go for the 50 series. I love the sound of mine. In fact, last night I set off a Volvo S80? alarm in a parking garage downtown. It was pretty damn funny to see everyone around lookin' at my truck thinkin' That thing sounds good! I love the deep mellow sound, it doesn't have that poppy noise and isn't too God aweful loud like the 40 series. Go with 50 Series non-Delta Flow, You won't be dissappointed!

I'd go with a 40, even on a V6. I haven't heard a cat-back system yet that I thought was too loud, I guess because I am used to the true duals and glasspacks on my Mirada and Charger.
My father has a Flo-Pro single in, dual out muffler on his V6 Dakota and it sounds mellow, not loud, even with no cat. I know its not a Flowmaster, but I believe it's similar.

Default muffler

I would go with the 50 series, had one on my dakota with V6 and at idle, sounded no different from the rt's, but when you wind it up goes a little whiney but in a good way, had lotsa compliments on it, had mine go to the back corners
