I got to see two of the new Hemi's at the Sturgis rally this year. One was in one of the new 1-ton duallies. The other was a full-size display model with cut-aways so you could see the inner-workings and stuff. I wish I'd gotten pictures, but it did look pretty mean sitting in that 1-ton. The display model was pretty fun to play with, as well.

Thumbs down What about the 1500?

I read the whole article and it made no mention of DC putting the new Hemi in a 1500. Why? The 4.7 is a fine motor for the Dakota and Durango, but to only offer the 3.7 and 4.7 in the 1500 is a terrible choice for buyers. Has anyone else heard of the possibility of the 5.7 in a 1500 other than a possible R/T or SS/T model? I just don't thing the 4.7 has enough snort for those of us that tow regularly.

Thumbs up Hemi in the 1500's

A salesman at our dealer said around Jan they'll be available. They'll be getting the new 2500 and 3500's sometime next month.

Default Pricing

Has anyone heard a ballpark figure on the price of the Hemi Loaded Trucks? Id consider selling my 2000 and buying one if they put the 5.7 in a 1500 model. Overall the engine sounds like a winner though.

Default SweetnLow -

For photos of my new Viper -

http://www.moparchat.com/forums/show...threadid=55982

And, yes, I have not introduced the snake pedal to my custom North California Viper floor mat yet. This is my first Viper, and it is quite a bit faster than anything I have owned before & I had some pretty fast MOPARs when I was physically younger. This is also the first manual shift car I have ever owned and I want to get much better with shifting and driving the Viper BEFORE I go WOT. I do not want to be a member of the Viper crash club.

I will be at Viper Days at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course this coming Spring where I'll have learned how to drive a manual in an extreme high performance car and will get professional instruction at Viper Days for going WOT.

Until then, let's just say part throttle going in a straight line in my Viper has scared everyone who's taken a ride with me, and it was the Viper, NOT the driver.

Default hemi

from what i have found is that the 5.9 is still avalible in the 1500. the 5.7 is for the 2500 and 3500. but that may change. they may trying to get rid of the 59`s or the 5.7 wont pass the light duty emmisions. our sales dept has been trying to order the new h.o diesel and 6 speed . distribution called and said that chrysler said that they had forgot to get emmision pasage in ca. i have also been told by training dept that the h.o diesel and 6 speed would not pass ca. emmions . so looks like california get the short side.

Thumbs up

I like this badge better, it's simpler and looks bolder. And I don't like "Liter" spelled out either, it looks gay.
