Wiper Problems
Here is a weird one I need some help. with, the Wipers on my wifes 99 Caravan are acting weird.
They do not park themselves, the intermittent wipers just go on solid, the wipers don't go on when you press the washer button however the fluid squirts out, low and high does work, when you turn them off they stop wherever they are. My initial thoughts were the turn signal stick that the controls are on. However it doesn't make sense, it would seem the problem may be with a control module, maybe the CTM. Any Help would be appreciated. |

The windshield wiper circuit is still a pretty simple circuit. The problem is either the wiper motor, the idiot stick, or the wiring in between.

Most likely the park switch in the motor or it's the control module.

I agree with the CTM theory.

I would agree with the motor if the only problem was it not parking, but since it has all of the other problems I would guess CTM. However wiring, bad ground probably isn't a bad guess either.
I think I will do a few wiring checks before replacing the CTM. Should I be able to find one in the bone yard or any idea how expensive they will be?? Greg |
