I want to make some "real" noise.... Time for a new exhaust configuration.

I currently have the dynomax race bullet muffler on the truck (well I was happy w/ that for about 2 weeks) I need some more noise. My 5.0 stang will put the truck to shame w/ exhaust tone. Since I enjoy the 5.0 mustang sound so much. I was thinking about somehow adding a 3" O/R H pipe on my truck w/ either MAC or spintech muffs. I know I would sound great but was wondering if anyone has ever done somthing similar to that?

I have a hollow cat with a glasspack type "muffler" and a dump on the end of that, it all ends about a foot before the end of the cab and let me tell you, it's lound, sounds like a top fuel car or something, alot of people tell me it sounds like a good 5 litre, except when I floor it, then, hmmm, how can I say this, oh... I floor it and the people on the side of the road wince or jump, if they don't see it coming

Go with glasspacks, full mufflers are for the old folks I have straight pipes with just glasspacks and no cats with 3 inch stacks behind the cab. it has a real nice low rumble at idle and it gets downright loud at WOT. the h-pipe helps with some extra torque but i think it loses the sound of a true dual exhaust. good luck man
