wow using antifreeze in my 318

Im totaly new to this site so take it easy , Ive got a 99ram with a 318 in it and Im pretty sure I have the plenum gasket leak thing but she also uses antifreeze. I dont see any leaks on my garage floor or any while its runningdoes anyone have a clue? Also is replacing that plenum gasket pricey?

The plentum leak would only cause it to burn oil. Do you have watter in the oil?? If so, I'd look for a blown head gasket for starters.

I'd fix it. It's always cheaper than a car payment. The borrower is slave to the lender.

While you in there building it, you might as well add some power by adding a dual exhuast with X pipe and a thermoquad for some real punch ... LOL!!

Confused

Sorry guys Ihad to leave for awhile,so Icouldnt read all the responses. So lets see if I understand this the plenum gasket is responsible for the oil usage and the ticking noise, and the intake gasket might be the loss of antifreeze problemand if I seesomeone pushing a sheep through a fence their just putting it back in right?

yup, that'l be dwc "puttin it back in"
i would pull the intake, you have to anyway to change the plenum gasket, look for "tracks" the antifreeze made while leaking, i have had older motors leak from the back coolant port to the back intake port.
sorry bout you being warped too, im afraid its too late for me
