Default 1968 360 Valiant 100

I'm selling my '68 Valiant 100. It has appeared in Hot Rod and Mopar Collector's Guide magazines.

$13,500 OBO

Please, serious inquires only and no tire kickers.

This is the car that started the '67-'69 Valiant "sleeper" rage when it appeared in Hot Rod and Mopar Collector’s Guide magazines in 2000.

• 360 ci bored .030 over
• Heavy Duty 360 crank internally balanced, 360 Heavy Duty rods w/ heavy duty bolts
• 308 casting high swirl heads w/ 2.02 intake and 1.60 exhaust
• Main studs and head studs
• 1.5:1 Harland Sharp roller rockers
• Cam Motion solid lifter cam
• Custom JE pistons with Speed Pro rings, 12.30:1 compression
• Mopar M1 intake w/ 750-cfm vacuum secondary Holly carb
• Transmission is "manual" shift A999 3-spd w/ low 1st gear
• Continental 3,200 stall 10-inch converter
• 3.91 rear gear ratio, Auburn Sure-Grip and Moser axles w/ green bearings
• SFI Approved balancer and flex plate
• Stock Mopar Performance Electronic Ignition
• Hooker (Jet Hot Coated) 2 inch Super Competition Headers w/ 3 inch collector
• 2 ½ aluminized exhaust with Walker turbo mufflers
• The rear windows are fixed, regulators were removed to save weight
• There's no heater, radio or windshield wipers, all removed to save weight
• Radio delete car w/ correct radio delete plate
• Heater delete plate installed that looks similar to an original one
• Rubber floor cover
• 15 gallon fuel cell w/ high volume electric pump
• NHRA approved 6 point roll bar

The car has run a best of 11.74 at over 115 MPH in the quarter mile with a closed exhaust and a set of slicks. It's capable of going faster with the right tune up. Plans that never came about was to install nitrous, the engine was purposely built to run it. It has never been abused and has been well taken care of.

70,500 original miles, always garaged and covered since I've owned it. The body and paint is in excellent condition and has zero rust. There was some rust when I purchased the car back in 1988 from a little old lady. Except for a small rust hole in the trunk floor it was all repaired. Red is its original color. The black interior is in excellent condition.

The new owner of this car can be a part of history because they will be able to show it along with other Hot Rod magazine featured cars at the magazine’s 65th anniversary car show to be held in Pomona, CA 23-24 March 2013. Only magazine featured cars will be displayed inside.
