Default longitudinal stripe mounting

hey everybody. so i just took my car to get painted, and i took off all the stripes and bumpers and stuff like that. i'm keeping the longitudinal stripe and am wondering if there are any better mounting kit's out there. i may have busted one of them on the rear panel, and am just seeing if there is a better option out there : ) any help would be awesome!

Most of that trim on new cars is held on with double sided adhesive. No holes to rust out.

Some of the original side mouldings used a small pin welded into the panels that held a plastic clip in the moulding. If you just broke a clip they are readily available through the normal supply chains for autobody stuff, but if you broke one of the pins in the sheet metal, that's a different story. The correct way to have fixed it would be to drill it and weld in another pin, but that's not an option after painting. The next best option if probably to put a threaded clip in and tighten it with a nut from the back side. If the back side is inaccessible, you may have to "stack" some double sided tape into the back of the moulding to get it to stick, but I have to say that's not a great option with stainless trim.
