Default 516 Heads identification

I just removed my heads off of my engine for the first time since I owned this engine. The engine is a 383 from a 65 Chrysler 300. Both heads are 516 heads but on the bottom of both heads is the letter "L". What does this "L" mean? Does it mean I have two left side heads? Would that matter?

Thanks for your response,

Scott
