I just got a 73 Challenger. I crawled under to see if it had a rear sway bar. I has the factoy sway bar but the ends go nowhere! Also there are no brackets on the leaf springs to connect it to.
Anybody have these backets? |

I have seen these leaf spring brackets pop up from time to time on ebay, other wise place a wanted ad in the appropriate area here on Moparchat or on Moparts.com (sorry) and someone is bound to have some- thats how I got my whole rear swaybar setup. I don't know who carrys NOS sway bar links. I have a better solution for those: The originals are 3" long between the bushings. I used a set of aftermarket links with polyurethane bushings from Jegs (Summit has them too) that are 3 1/4" long- just trim the sleeve down 1/4" to the proper 3" length and they work great! And they only cost about $15! Be prepared to spend $40-50 for a pair of leaf spring brackets, though.
Hope this helps. John RT/SE ------------------ 1970 Challenger RT/SE, 383 Magnum, 4spd Pistol Grip, Plum Crazy [This message has been edited by John RTSE (edited September 21, 2000).] |
