Default VIN Identficaion

A friend is looking at at 73 Roadrunner GTX. Needs restored, but before we do anything I want to see if it is a GTX or someone slapped badges on a Satellite. Where is a good source for decoding a VIN for this? Asking price is 3K.

A genuine '73 GTX will have a VIN that begins with RM21U3. The "U" code is for the 440 engine which was only available in the GTX version of the Road Runner.
