That is great and everything but it sorta looks like a Rolls in the front and a monte carlo in the back. I'm glad to see this. What I still don't see is anything from Dodge they may put them back in competition with Ford as far as RWD with a possible police package and affordability for the average Joe like the M-body( Diplomat and Gran Fury) did. Dodge threw away a good thing in 89. RWD cars! I think if this takes off they need a Dodge too and not some stupid sport wagon Magnum. Personally, I'd like Dodge to make something like that, and use a new name or something else from the past besides the Magnum.

Don't bump your head when you get in the new Chrysler! LOL

Hey I Just read this article below on carpoint.com, and it's the best news I've seen in a while. It has now been 22 years since Chrysler sold it's last Australian built V8 sedan, it would be a dream to have one of these parked next to my 77 Chrysler in the driveway.

Chrysler rwd sedan Ozbound?
Take a look at the sedan that'll put rear-wheel drive performance with a Chrysler badge back on Australian roads within the next 18 months. The Chrysler 300C concept car, shown at this week's New York Auto Show, is said to be a strong hint at the production version which is likely to be revealed at the 2004 Detroit show in January.

"The Chrysler 300C sedan is being considered for Australia," revealed Gerry Jenkins, Chrysler Australia's managing director. "It's a tremendously important vehicle for the Chrysler [Australia] line-up, and while I can't 100 per cent confirm it will come to Australia, we hope to have something exciting to announce at the Sydney show (in October)."

If successful, Chrysler will import around 1000 300Cs a year with two engines: a 3.5-litre, 190kW V6 and a 5.7-litre Hemi V8 producing 255kW. The 300C's five-speed automatic transmission, suspension parts, steering and some electronic aids like traction control and ESP come from the Mercedes-Benz' E-class sedan. The vehicle would be pitched as a premium-performance sedan, putting it up against high-series Commodore, Audi and BMW. Price? "Pricing is something we're struggling with right now," said Jenkins, though CarPoint understands it would slot in around $50,000 in V6 form. Before then, however, Chrysler will launch the Crossfire coupe in December 2003, and possibly turbocharged and convertible versions of the niche market PT Cruiser in early 2004.

I love the car, but I'm sure the price is going to be astronomical

Yeah, I bet it is going to be pricy! The body does have sort of a 50's Bentley 4 door look, anyone care for some Grey Poupon?

I think that the 300 Hemi C Convertible looked far superior to that thing. That nose is just too darn large and FUGLY.

Exclamation compare

if you compare the 1955 Chrysler 300 to the "new" 300C, the overall body shape is quite similar. Yeah, it looks a bit like a Rolls or Bently from the front, but I think it looks more like a modern interpretation of the '55. Let's hope it does well.
